Fast Composting. Speedier than stand
alone units, this batch style tumbler is easy to turn from the top using a
standard pile turner. Handled grip
on lid makes dumping of scraps into active pile simple and convenient. This compact model does not require a
lot of square footage in the garden; all it needs is a permeable surface below
so the any liquid tea produced drains passively into the ground below via
bottom holes in the optional base plate or directly into the soil if no plate
is used. Placement in a sunny
location will help speed up decomposition.
Durable Integrity. This
roto-molded unit is made from a heavy-duty recycled plastic resin that holds up
to the suns damaging rays, ensuring a long life span. Tapered unit is structurally sound; wind-resistant lid remains
on during most storm events.
Odor & Rodent Free.
Intelligently placed aeration holes throughout provide a continual
current of air into the unit to mitigate any anaerobic activity, which is normally
responsible for the foul smells. Secure
design keeps furry critters from entering the active pile. For best performance, churn once per
week and monitor moisture levels to verify that decomposition is occurring
(volume will slowly decrease as the materials decompose).
