Doggie Dooley Septic Unit - Standard
Developed in Ohio, the Doggie Dooley Pet Waste Digester operates like a mini septic system – but with a much smaller footprint. These units use natural enzymes, water and beneficial microbes to break down the solid waste from your pets into a harmless, ground absorbing liquid. The foot-operated lid is a convenient back saver and is the only part you will visibly encounter in your lawn or garden – the remainder will be hidden below grade. HOW THE UNIT WORKSThese digester units work as miniature septic area for dog waste. Like standard septic systems, these are designed to condition waste by converting the solid excrement to liquid. This liquid can then harmlessly drain away and be absorbed into the subsoil. This conversion to liquid would naturally occur over a long period of time if enough moisture was provided. The addition of Digester Powder utilizing enzyme action will drastically speed the rate of this conversion to liquid. Helpful bacteria which breakdown organic matter are already present in every digester and septic system. However, the addition of enzymes acts to speed the digestion process and bypass several unpleasant side effects (such as foul odors and excessive clumping) in the process.

- Functional performance is achieved when temperatures are above 40˚F – digestion rate slows during the coldest months, but will increase as temps rise
- It is recommended that clay soils be properly amended (with gypsum, gravel and soil conditioner) to insure ample and continual drainage
- Rainwater is an ideal water source for flushing these digesters; chlorinated municipal water can slow bacterial activity (using lukewarm, de-chlorinated water is best)
- Optimum temperature range is 60-110˚F
- Deluxe unit includes a scooper at no extra charge (NOT included with economy or standard units)

- To avoid damage to the unit by pedestrians or lawn mowers, mark the location of the lid with a brick or stake
