Enokitake Mushroom Patch (Flammulina populicola)
A veritable forest of small capped, long stemmed Enokitake mushrooms (Flammulina populicola) will emerge from this indoor grow kit. Popular in Japan and known in the US as the ‘Winter Mushroom’, this native species evolved with the western poplars of North America (Populus). This easy-to-cultivate variety can handle the cool inside temperatures during the winter months – growing especially well in garages and basements. The ideal growing range is 40-75˚F. To activate kit, simply place in the fridge. Also recommended for young homesteaders! This delicious mushie has a refreshing, crisp texture and may be used raw in salads or added to soups and stews.
The Enokitake Mushroom Patch is made from Alder sawdust and woodchips, and is Certified Organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
