Flat Back Rain Barrel - WOOD GRAIN + DUAL VALVE
Manufactured with quality in mind, this roto-molded, polyethylene barrel has a generous 50-gallon capacity with the possibility of connection to other units via the top later ports. Threaded brass spigot is conveniently located half way up the barrel for easy filling of a bucket (manually operated). Special plastic shut off valve at the bottom allows for attachment to a hose with industry standard coupling. Top, center overflow portal prevents excess water from spilling out through screened opening. Lightweight while empty, unit is easy to move and stow away during the frozen months. Durable finish ensures minimal maintenance for years.

Durable. Heavy-duty, rotational molded
construction means a lower possibility of structural damage and a longer
lifespan. UV-stabilized plastic
resin is protected from sun damage, fading and cracking.
Attractive. Designed with enhanced appearance
in mind, these units resemble authentic oak barrels from years ago – prominent
horizontal bans emulate the old metal straps that secured the wood in place. Subtle vertical groves and indented patterns
imitate the texture of natural wood grain.
Safety. Flat back helps to lessen the
possibility of tipping, should someone inappropriately climb on it. The flat back also lowers the footprint
of the unit, while reducing the amount of protrusion from the wall or
fence. Water entry point at top of
barrel prevents unwanted entry by children or pets. Screen keeps out rooftop debris and insects. If the water
level should exceed capacity, the top center overflow port will prevent unit
from spilling over.
Expandable. With the optional
linking kit (available from us or the manufacturer), these barrels can be
connected in series via a modest connector port located at the top back (sealed
unit needed). Once the internal
water reaches the lateral linking ports which are slightly below the height of
the overflow port, water will begin flowing into and filling the adjacent
barrel(s).
Convenient. Threaded, hand-operated brass spigot is located half way up the barrel and can be connected to a hose with standard fittings, or directly fill a bucket or watering can. Special bottom shut off valve can be connected to a hose, used as additional overflow, or provide a means of emptying residual water at the end of the season before freezing temperatures arrive. Due to the weather-resistant surface,
minimal maintenance is required, other than occasional cleaning of the debris
screen.
