As long as the base cube is elevated above the level of the plants, the internal mechanism will provide sufficient moisture to their roots. LED panel indicated the status of the system. Rubber stoppers on the bottom keep unit from slipping and scratching surfaces. 6.5 gallon reservoir is structurally isolated to prevent sweating on the ground below. Comes with 33 feet of irrigation hose, 20 drippers and 20 mounting stakes. Highly recommended.
