Additional Points:

To retain moisture and heat, create a wool topper by cutting two 32” x 32” cubes out of an old dark-colored wool blanket. Sew the pieces together using a poly-thread and stuff with scrap cuttings from the remaining portion of the blanket.  Place on top during the colder months or dry spells.

Place on permeable ground to insure proper drainage of liquid compost tea.

Since unit is open at the top, bury food scraps in the center of pile to prevent hungry critters from being attractive to exposed food.
